About Us

Phoenix People Consultancy was born from my desire to share my knowledge, experience and expertise gained over 25 years within Human Resources specifically in the area of leadership, culture and wellbeing in the workplace. To help other HR Directors/Managers and small to medium business owners to really appreciate and enhance their most precious asset, their people.

As a chartered member of the CIPD I have always been totally fascinated by people, how they interact with others and how they view the world and love that every single one of us is totally unique. This is why I first got into HR or Personnel as it was known back then back in the mid 90's, my first HR job was in a large military hospital in Saudi Arabia. I repatriated to the UK in 1997 and began to formalise my HR education with the CIPD. I have worked in HR roles within the public sector, a large travel organisation, an Insurance call centre, a fresh produce distributer and my final employment before becoming self employed with a Global Engineering and Environmental Consultancy. These organisations were all unique and presented their own challenges, I have experienced the whole employee life cycle from a HR perspective

I became aware of Neuo Linguistic Programming (NLP) in the early 2000's, this discovery blew my mind, for the first time I found my own thinking resonated with this practice. Although it was another few years before I was able to attend a suitable training programme and trained to become a NLP Practitioner. I trained and qualified as a NLP Practitioner with Quadrant 1 International
